8th Annual Suffrage Parade 2013

What is the event about?

Come join us at Balboa Park for our annual Suffrage Parade!  Starts at 5pm at the Kate Session Statue which is located at the west wend of the Laurel Street Bridge.  A 30 minute Rally begins at 5pm followed by a  March across the Laurel Street Bridge into the Organ Pavilion.

Bring your organization banners, placards, Equality for Women signs, dress in vintage (suffragist) clothing.  Stay for the last concert of the summer season and a picnic on the grass.  Sign up your organization with us soon!  Send an email to info@womensmuseumca.org

Why do we have the event?

To celebrate and relive the history of how American Women finally won the right to vote in 1920 when the 19th Amendment was passed on August 26.
