Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future

13 Annual San Diego County Women's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner

What is the event about?

Our 13th Year!

The purpose of the annual San Diego County Women's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and dinner is to make women's actions and accomplishments visible in San Diego.  Currently, 65 women have taken their place in the Women’s Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony is open to the public and will be held at the McMillin Conference Center at Liberty Station (NTC).  Tickets range from $45 to $150 for individual seats.  Tables of ten $1,000.  Sponsorships are available.  TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON-LINE

Those chosen represent and reflect the diversity of our community.  They have all selflessly and courageously contributed greatly to San Diego and the world at large.  Their lifetime work and achievements have improved the lives of many and have left a lasting impact.  They are the unsung heroes of our time whose stories can be inspiring to all of us. Awards are granted in the areas of empowerment, activism, trailblazing, cultural competency and historical preservation.

This year's Inductees are:

Dee Aker, Trailblazer

Sonia Lopez, Cultural Guardian

Rachael Ortiz, Activist

Lorraine Boyce, Empowerer

Deborah Szekely, Bridge Builder

Sponsor tables and Corporate Underwriting are being sought for this event.

Moxie Theatre's Founder and Director, Delicia Turner Sonnenburg and her daughter will provide poetic entertainment as part of the program and we will welcome the musical sounds of the San Diego Women's Chorus to the stage.  All part of a most compelling evening.  Not to be missed!
