What is the event about?

Come celebrate the historic moment when the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was passed in 1920. Dress up in period costume of the day.  Meet such historic greats as Susan B. Anthony, Dr. Charlotte Baker, and Alice Paul as they struggled to give women their full rights as citizens.

Meet at the Kate Sessions Statue in Sefton Plaza at the corner of the Laurel Street Bridge and 6th Avenue for the Rally, march to the Organ Pavilion.  Join us and members of many Women's Organizations from around San Diego. Bring your VOTES FOR WOMEN signs and banners.

Stay for a lemonade and brownies picnic on the grass and enjoy one of the last summer concerts of the season.

Why do we have the event?

This historic moment in women's history must be recognized and celebrated.

A map to Sefton Plaza can be found here.
