Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future


On the first night of summer June 21st, a thousand happy San Diegans who love good wine, cheese, and chocolate will gather on our new NTC LIBERTY STATION location's grassy, North Promenade for the 6th Annual SAN DIEGO WINE, CHEESE, AND CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL

Coming together as a community is an important part of our mission. Since this popular event is the WMC’s – a mostly volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – one and only annual fundraiser, monies raised are allocated towards permanent collection preservation, research, and cultural and educational programming focused on teaching the public about women's history and gender imbalance.

Moreover, funds allow us to not only curate both our many exhibits and a juried art show – bringing recognition to contemporary Californian women artists – but also enable the WMC to host local woman-owned and/or run organizations' events at a deeply discounted rate throughout the year. In addition, the WMC – proud co-founder of the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame – provides speakers and develops scholastic exhibits for schools, libraries, and public spaces.

Please partner with us and support the museum’s work by donating FOOD or WINE for our festival's Tasting Tables (by providing 300 “tastes” – we can help staff with our volunteers, if needed) or ITEMS or GIFT CERTIFICATES for our silent auction. We also welcome your Incentive Coupon for our 1000+ Wine Festival Gift Bags; a great way to promote your product and generate post-event traffic. Product sales are allowed through the WMC store for a 20% “consignment fee” – as the Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Festival is our only fundraiser. 

Your tax-deductible contribution will not only enable the WMC to achieve its goals of arts and cultural programming for the San Diego community, but partnering with us also demonstrates your charitable involvement. If you COMMIT TO DONATING TASTINGS and/or SILENT AUCTION ITEMS and submit the online commitment letter before April 30th, your company’s logo will be featured on our PR material, Web site, and member invitations free of charge (for silent auction partners donating $200+). Edible San Diego will run an ad in their June 1st issue and will promote our festival in their newsletter and Luna Bars is launching a new product during our event and their pr/marketing teams are working together with our people to bring in plenty of press to cover our event.  

We expect at least 1000 attendees at our new and larger location. Prior year’s events have sold out! In addition, the Stone Brewery, adjacent to the festival lawn, will have opened its doors first week of June – which will generate additional interest.
