Women's Museum of California

Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future

Women's History Walking Tours

Go beyond the walls of the Museum and around the city in our historic walking tours which focus on women's contributions to our San Diego culture and community.

Women of the Gaslamp Tour

This tour meets every 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM

Meet in downtown San Diego for "A Walking Tour of the Gaslamp Quarter District" with highlights of the women who worked to improve the lives of people in the district, and those women who helped to "clean up" the area. Question:

What role did Lydia Knapp Horton and Dr. Charlotte Baker play in our history? Josie Earp? Clara Shortridge Foltz? Joan Crawford? Many of the stories connect to some of the 93 historic buildings found in the Gaslamp today.

Book your tour as soon as possible as space is limited. To reserve your spot in the next tour contact Anne at 858.245.1677 or email ahoiberg@aol.com

More walking tours will be announced soon
